INTRODUCTION...
Welcome to our family blog!!!
I started this blog because it was the best way to keep in touch with family and friends who live near and far. Now I keep the blog because it gives me a place to capture memories we make as a family. I have to say, however, that most of my postings are about the kids!
Mikayla Anne or Mia for short, is turning 4 this year and she is growing way too fast! She is our little princess and has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. She loves anything that is pink and purple. She is probably the girlest girl you'll ever meet!
Daniel John is 2 1/2 years old, but you'll never guess it because he is small and so very cute. He is our little sweetheart. Daniel is mischievous but really sweet. He loves to give hugs and kisses to anyone who wants one! He will forever be our baby boy!
I hope you enjoy keeping in touch with us and watching the kids grow as much as I enjoy sharing our memories on the blog with you!

@ THE AUTO SHOW
On the weekend, we went to the Auto Show and discovered the hard way (0f course), that Saturday is not the best day to go these shows. Needless to say, the place was packed and trying to keep the kids happy was almost close to impossible. Of course, both of them didn't want to sit in their stroller and wanted very much to climb into different cars. At one point, we let Daniel roam freely around and he held onto someone else's legs thinking it was his dad's! After a second or two, when he looked up and discovered that those legs he was holding tightly to did not belong to his dear ol' Daddy, he made a beeline to me! It was a very tiring day but I'm sure will be very memorable. But, I made up my mind that we will not be going again until the kids are way bigger! Till then, John will have find someone else to go with! I never will understand why anybody would pay $18 to see a bunch of cars anyway! John says I'll have to be a guy to understand.....

"I'M A BIG GIRL!"

Besides her toys, there are two things our little two-and-a-half year-old daughter holds near and dear to her heart. Both of which have been with her since she was just a few days old. These two things have given her night time companionship and comfort. These being her blanket (pronounced as bing-ky) and pacifier (pronounced as Nah-ker). A week or so ago, we said good-bye to the Nah-ker and threw it away in the garbage. At first, she cried, but we explained to her that she was a big girl now and did not need it anymore. It really helped that we only allowed her to have her pacifier and blanket in bed. We are so proud of Mikayla; she has been sleeping without her Nah-ker ever since! It makes me sad, but happy, to think that she really is a big girl now!!!

BAKING WITH DADDY!
Last weekend, Daddy made his famous cinnamon buns and he had two very eager helpers. Well...actually, Mikayla was very eager to help, she did not leave her Daddy's side the whole time! Daniel on the other hand, came to see what was going on, watched a little but would go back and forth to his toys in the living room. Mikayla loves baking because she knows at the end she gets to taste it!

Finally....new post...
I love taking random pictures of the kids throughout the day. I think I have my camera around my neck all day! Sometimes I wish I had a camcorder and follow Daniel all day. It is so interesting to watch him play. I always wonder what goes in that little head of his. He is just full of mischief! He is so smart like his big sister! It's amazing to me how much he understands now. I was told to never underestimate how much little kids understand...and its true! (At least with my kids!) Mikayla is comical to watch, she has tea parties all day long! She talks to herself (which, according to my mom, I did quite a bit when I was her age!) -- probably the reason why she plays really well by herself too. Recently, the two have started to play together which, to me, is really exciting! When Mikayla is not bossing her brother around and Daniel is not screaming at his sister for the toys he wants to play with, they play together quite nicely.
At the end of the month, every month, John has to work late and gets home around 8pm. This is taken when Daddy finally came home from work! Although it doesn't look like it, the kids really were excited to see Daddy despite the fact that he had timbits for them! :0p

Daniel loves to play with bubbles... except when he swallowed one and left a really bad taste in his mouth!
