INTRODUCTION...

Welcome to our family blog!!!

I started this blog because it was the best way to keep in touch with family and friends who live near and far. Now I keep the blog because it gives me a place to capture memories we make as a family. I have to say, however, that most of my postings are about the kids!

Mikayla Anne or Mia for short, is turning 4 this year and she is growing way too fast! She is our little princess and has her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. She loves anything that is pink and purple. She is probably the girlest girl you'll ever meet!

Daniel John is 2 1/2 years old, but you'll never guess it because he is small and so very cute. He is our little sweetheart. Daniel is mischievous but really sweet. He loves to give hugs and kisses to anyone who wants one! He will forever be our baby boy!

I hope you enjoy keeping in touch with us and watching the kids grow as much as I enjoy sharing our memories on the blog with you!

DADDY TURNS 29!

While in Vancouver, John celebrated his 29th birthday. His parents threw him a party and we got to invite close friends and family. We had a wonderful time catching up with everyone!

KAWAII MIA!!!

"Kawaii" means cute in Japanese. While we were at Juls and Sally's church picnic at Stanley Park, a group of Japanese students who were touring Vancouver came by and saw Mikayla playing with her Uncle. They stopped and wanted to know if they could take a picture with Mikayla because they thought she was the cutest thing they ever saw! Shy Mikayla didn't know what was going on, she just stood there while the students gathered around here for a quick "kodak moment!" I think she'll be famous somewhere in Japan!

WE'RE BACK!

To all my "faithful" blog readers, I apologize for not updating while I was away. I really thought I would have time, but time just flew by and, before we knew it, we were back! We had a great time visiting with family and friends and, of course, reacquainting ourselves with the beautiful mountains and the gorgeous ocean. Visiting Vancouver is always bittersweet for John and I, and this time around was no different. Vancouver will always be home, but we know that we have a life waiting for us in Ontario. Of course, with purchasing our first home, we were pretty eager to get back.

We came home to the endless job of painting and unpacking. Fortunately, my parents are here and they've been an awesome help! So...one day at a time, we are getting settled in our new home! Every time the house is still (usually when the kids have gone to bed), I stand in awe at God's provisions for us. God gave us our house and I'm thankful every day for it!
