SKATING

Last Saturday, we took the kids skating for the very first time! They both loved it of course! We didn't think there would be skates small enough for Daniel, but there were and they were so cute! He doesn't quite have the knack for skating yet, but he was determined to stay on the ice. We asked him a few times, "all done?" he kept saying, "No!" Mikayla, on the other hand, did surprisingly well for her very first time. She had a bit of help from pushing something around but she did it all herself!

It's been a while...

It's been a while since I updated, I know.. now I'm almost all caught with all the major events! Christmas, of course, was one of them! What a treat to spend Christmas in Vancouver with our family this year. The best part was watching the kids open their presents and see the excitement in their faces! The food was awesome, just as I always remembered it being. Of course, it wasn't the same with my mom being gone in the Philippines.

We rang in the New Year at the Maks with friends, most of them stayed up almost all night but I went to bed at 11pm. I woke up a few times from laughs, yells and screams but the kids slept through it all! Breakfast was at Denny's and it was awesome!

MAMA'S BIRTHDAY!

My mom got back from the Philippines just in time to celebrate her birthday with us! Sandra got the kiddies to paint birdhouses for her as a surprise. The kids were so excited to paint and the fact that it was a surprise!

JONATHAN'S 17TH BDAY

Jonathan is 17! Watch out road users, he does have his L!!! Fortunately, he hasn't been behind a wheel yet...

CHRISTMAS 2008

The kids had a blast spending Christmas with their cousins this year. As well as, getting spoiled from grandparents, aunts and uncles! While it snowed like crazy outside, my parent's little house was just as crazy with all kids, including us of course! It was a great Christmas the kids will always remember, I'm sure, even though my mom was in the Philippines and missed it all.
